Be the next pit boss of the grill nation! Tell about your grilling skills in the Air Force High Flyin’ Challenge and say why your BBQ is the best in the Air Force.
The contest consists of three elements, the first part is an “essay or video” contest, next is the “contenders” which is made up of essay/video winners and finally the “challenge” for the top three scoring contenders from the regional competitions. Essays should describe in 500 words or less why your barbeque is the best. The essay/video contest runs through April 18 and all essays are due before midnight. If you can make taste buds anxious just reading about it, you could be selected to be a contender in your region!
The Air Force High Flyin’ BBQ Challenge is unlike any other program offered. It begins with eligible personnel submitting an essay/video for review and scoring. Six regional representatives will be selected to actually compete in a sanctioned local BBQ event with the three highest scoring submissions receiving invitations to come to San Antonio, TX (funding is provided) in September 2014 for the AF High Flyin’ Challenge finals.
