Using the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in downtown Oklahoma City as a venue for their off-site July 11, members of the 552nd Air Control Wing took advantage of the facilities to practice resiliency training in conjunction with their Family Fun Day at the ballpark. Above, Bonnie Crims-O’Dell, alternate Sexual Assault Response coordinator at Tinker Air Force Base, mans a display booth along the main concourse to help 552nd ACW members learn more about the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program. In addition to the SAPR booth, other Comprehensive Airman Fitness events conducted by wing members throughout the day included large and small group activities. Among the topics presented were spiritual and physical resiliency, the impacts of stress on the human body, the importance of exercise intervals and hydration, heat stress and general safety. The importance of teamwork, wingmanship and Airmanship — all geared with an emphasis on taking care of each other — were reinforced in every activity. During the Family Fun Day portion of the event, wing family members were treated to a softball game between commanders and senior noncommissioned officers, a home run derby, face-painting booth, caricature booth, dunk tank, inflatable bouncy activities for the children and a picnic, followed by a baseball game between the Oklahoma City RedHawks and the New Orleans Zephyrs.
